With 30 victories as a starter, Book surpassed Tom Clements, Ron Powlus, and Brady Quinn on December 5, 2020, to become the quarterback with the most victories in Notre Dame football history. In program history, his 72 touchdown throws rank second all-time. In the voting for the Heisman Trophy, he came in ninth.
